This case, based on the IESE case E 99 E, deals first of all with entrepreneurial experience and the process of family transition that led to the development and successful growth of the Barceló Group, one of the most important family-owned hotel chains in Spain and, secondly, the development of corporate and family governance structures and their role in the group's successful growth.
