Participants in the Luxury Goods Industry meeting heard how the sector is growing thanks to emerging markets such as China, although many of the sales come from visitors from these countries to Europe. Europe is a market leader and the sector has attracted investors but as fears of a recession grow, they are becoming more discerning.
